Review of Then She Found Me (2007) by Sylvia Q — 30 Oct 2009
Blame it on the fancy poster! It sort of misled me into believing that it would be something similar to "Love Actually" (it does not help with Colin Firth, one of my favourite Brit actor, in both movies) and "The Holiday".
I do not see a hint of any "crisis" on the face of Helen Hunt. She looks tired and bitter most of the times (including her own wedding day), and I can't tell whether she is sad or happy.
Her poker face does not struck a cord at all. Colin Firth seems to be a wasted talent in the show. If not for the brilliant Bette Midler, it is probably just worth a one-star rating for the effort. Sad enough, the 60-something mother actually looks much better than her 40 year-old daughter.
