Review of Thelma & Louise (1991) by Sam A — 05 Jul 2010
This has an original kind of story going on, but was far longer than it needed to be, and the audience can easily notice this, not such a good element for movies to have. Same with Castaway. But there were some pretty good performances, and I give props to Ridley Scott for not doing a big budget action movie and going with a different story.
This movie tries to be a kind of disturbing and haunting look at the way America is, understandably, but ends up leaving us thinking "wow, they had rotten luck." So A for effort, but just kind of normal at the end of the day.
