Review of Thelma & Louise (1991) by Tony P — 25 Oct 2017
Although the central performances from Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon as the eponymous heroines are strong, the story is both too simplistic and too preposterous to be anything other than annoying.
Also, writer, Callie Khouri seems to think that that, to have a film with a feminist message, that message should be reinforced by a total disdain for men.
This movie could have been something really special, were it handled with a little more care. Unfortunately, it wasn't, and the result is a ham-fisted, rather silly piece of work.
