One of the most remarkable movies I have ever seen. Powerful and moving with superb acting. I am enriched by knowing about the heroism of the main characters, and deeply moved by the experiences portrayed by all the other characters, including the animals.
I will now make a trip to Warsaw to see this zoo which is still in operation and will look for the names of this couple in Israel at Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem) where I now know they have been honored as Rightrous Among the Nations.
Beautiful beautiful film. The negative reviews by some critics make no sense to me. I thought it was outstanding.
