Review of The Young Victoria (2009) by Mikael H — 13 May 2010
It's a British costume drama, and thus naturally well crafted with solid performances all around, as always. That said, the dramaturgy is very familiar from Elizabeth - young woman takes on the role of Head of State and need to break free from all those pesky advisors and truly come of age/grow into her great task.
No surprises there really. Those who like costume dramas will still be content, though.
