I have always seen the relationship between Victoria and Albert through the eyes of the Victorians who were so much influenced by it. This was an entirely new angle and entirely believable. They really did love each other and how rare is it in royal circles of history? So no wonder they had such an influence and no wonder Victoria grieved so after his death.
