Emily Blunt has shown she is one of Hollywood's very best young actresses and that truth is solidified with her incredible performance in "The Young Victoria". The film is a dramatization of Victoria's struggles as a young teen-aged Queen as she battles family, politicians, and foreign leaders, all seeking to use or exploit her for their own advantages.

It's in her love and trust of Prince Albert that she finds the strength to rule. Blunt shines and is brilliant in the title role. She's beautifal and graceful and truly immerses herself in the role.

The film also is blessed with a strong supporting cast including Rupert Friend, Mark Strong, and Paul Bettany. The movie won an Oscar for costume design and it doesn't take long to see why. The gorgeous costumes and amazing set pieces give an amazing feel of 1830's England.

I'm not a royalist so some of the politics and history went over my head. But this is a minor gripe. This is a fantastic film and deserves to be seen. Blunt is a true talent and her performance here shows us we have alot to look forward to from her in the future.
