Review of The Young Victoria (2009) by Baurushan J — 13 Jan 2014
The story is about a young Queen Victoria who whilst growing up as a princess wants to take over as the new queen. But all her relatives back her down thinking she is too young and they decide to have her married with a different king.
But the time comes when the current queen is off the throne, therefore Victoria is crowned queen at age 18. She was later married to Prince Albert where they spent the rest of their lives together So if any of you know the history of Queen Victoria well enough, you will probably enjoy this movie because this movie plays to the Victorian era accurately.
We now have a clear vision of what happened during when Victoria started to rule as queen and before then. I cannot think of one moment that I found historically fabricated. The movie and its storyline seemed neat.
The actors were all unrecognisable in their solid performances especially Emily Blunt as Queen Victoria who stole the show. The Young Victoria gets a 9.9/10.
