Review of The Young Victoria (2009) by Gina F — 10 May 2010
Emily Blunt was beautiful in this, but the script didn't really show Victoria as independent or strong. Instead, she stayed pretty weak & Rupert Friend stayed pretty stiff. Visually interesting, while strangely distracted with the occasional fly buzzing about, this version is not half as good as previous ones & the best part of Victoria and Albert is really minimized.
