Review of The Young Messiah (2016) by Richard M — 12 Mar 2016
The storyline, although made up, or course, is not very interesting. We never really get any real insights about the childhood Jesus. This may in fact be due to the child they chose to play Jesus - more like a suburban school kid than a divine presence.
Again, these biblical movies are cast to stereotypes that the movie industry wants to portray, and not what probably people really looked like -- better than the C.B. Demille biblical epics where Roman were played by British actors with anachronistic British accents and Nordic looking middle easterners.
There are more blue eyes in this movie than there are in Sweden!
