Review of The Yes Men (2003) by John W — 05 Dec 2005
These guys are bright and keen on how to get something done. They use all that talent though, to poke at everyone's good nature to take them at face value. And they are quietly contemptuous. Thier gags are designed, we are told, to satirize the WTO but they don't deliver that message very well. As a comedy (that was my hope anyways) it had only a couple of good gags and one really great one when they passed out hamburgers. I had a big laugh with that one.
An uneven flick. I hope they don't get rich off of this kind of movie.
