Review of The Yes Men (2003) by Erik K — 27 Sep 2007
These guys are insane, going around impersonating WTO officials and totally taking the piss out of that august body. It was a funny movie, especially when the Yes Men give fake speeches that are full of evil and the audience barely bat an eyelid. The film could use tighter editing and more of an introduction or explanation, maybe some context about these guys. That felt lacking, I would have loved to see the media fallout of some of their antics.
The way they expose the WTOs trade treaties as evil and repressive to third world nations is just great, thought I'm a cynic too and I wonder how much it'll actually help to change the current state of things.
