Review of The Year My Parents Went on Vacation (2006) by Canem C — 18 Jun 2008
Few movies manage to capture what this movie did. It felt real (as real as a movie can be) and was one of those gems that manages to tap into your emotions and find that perfect balance of happy and sad.
It was such a wonderful perspective into this boy's life as he is left all alone in an unfortunate situation, but he manages to adjust, make friends (and some good jokes along the way), and mature.
I recommend this movie to anyone with a heart.
