Review of The Wrong Trousers (1993) by Adam F — 02 Jan 2013
"Wallace and Gromit in the Wrong Trousers" is a big improvement on the first Wallace and Gromit short (which was already excellent) and it's sure to give you a lot of laughs. The stop motion is excellent and some of the pieces are so good you'll really wonder how they did it (some of the scenes in the museum for example).
The humour is sharper, with a lot of dialogue filled with clever and subtle jokes and there are a lot of fine details in the backgrounds that will have you laughing too. It's really imaginative and wonderful, with thing like crazy inventions, clever characters and surprisingly some character development for a couple of characters that have no lines whatsoever.
It's another great family film that's sure to become one of your favourites, with parts comedy, fantasy, heist film and chase picture there's something here for everyone. (Blu-ray, December 31, 2012).
