Review of The Wrestler (2008) by Tom A — 05 Apr 2012
Such a great film. I havn't been into professional wrestling since I was a kid and have never really taken it that seriously but the film plays almost like a documentary and I now have so much respect for the men and women who put their bodies through so much and have real genuine camaraderie.
Rourke puts in the performance of his life and the supporting cast are equally excellent, particularly Marisa Tomei as mother/stripper Pam/Cassidy.
