Brilliantly humorous and heartbreakingly sad at the same time. I was suprised...and its hard to be suprised when the marketing machine is busy already telling you how great it is before you've seen it.
Rourke's performance hardly requires any more discussion as its already been said 100 times, and of course, all of it justified. You'll leave feeling heartbroken for "The Ram"...but it only elevates the impact the film will have on you.
(Update) Rewatched again recently, it's still great. Brave stuff from Tomei.
