Intense movie with two solid actors giving fine performances as Captain Patch (Cooper) and John Sands (Heston). Heston is more understated, appropriately so, than in some of his other films. No overacting here.
Good story based on the 1952 novel about two seamen cracking a mystery in the stormy English Channel.
