As far as CGI spectacles go, Edgar Wright is ever reliable, but the film definitely could have worked better if its rhetoric is not so flimsy. Like most coming-of-age films, The World's End is simply not interested in confronting audiences, which makes its viewing akin to fake caresses from a stranger.
