Review of The World's End (2013) by Felipe C — 06 Feb 2014
Fun... hilarious... unique. Edgar Wright delivers again with this wonderful film. The cast was wonderful in their roles, especially with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost leading the way in this fun adventure.
A group of guys who are successful in their lives led by a man, who was the cool kid in school now down in the dumps, reclaiming his glory days by going on a ridiculous drinking epic sounds like a good movie by itself.
Toss in weird aliens attempting to take over the world... hell why not. The script is wonderful, packed with humour and witty scenes. There are political messages and criticisms as well and them saying "F--k you" to them makes it all better.
This movie sticks with you due to this unique formula and it is wonderful time to watch again and again. One word describes this film overall: Magnificent.
