The plot is so glaringly obvious that I don't know if it was supposed to be just about the journey of the story (which was quite good). If so, it deserves another star. If it thinks it's got secrets and should surprise us, then it failed miserably.

Any fool could figure out what was coming. The progression of Bradley Cooper aging is so completely unbelievable, I wish they would have gone for the old man make-up like they used on my beloved Jeremy Irons (my main reason for going, frankly).

It was melodramatic and pretty tired, like a Nicholas Sparks novel story that was poorly executed. I felt bad, I wanted to like it. It's worth a rental, but like the ticket taker said quite well, "It was okay - it was too short and it could have been better.

" And then, "Eww, you think Jeremy Irons is hot? He's a fossil!" Yeah, so he's an old grandpa, but I've had the hots for him since the 80's. He's...a GILF.
