The Words is an example of an ambitious movie that doesn't quite meet its potential, especially when it tries to force emotions within the audience. I like romantic melodramas, but this one failed to please me.
Then again, this was Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal's first film. Perhaps they'll improve on the next one.
