Review of The Woodsman (2004) by Adam W — 17 Apr 2009
An uncomfortable but interesting viewing.
Bacon portrays his character in a pityfull and sympathetic way and as such it really is difficult not to feel sorry for him for much of the time.
The film doesn't play solely to this though and there are numerous scenes, including a particularly difficult one in a park toward the end, that serve to remind of the pain and anguish such people cause.
