I prefer jump scares over blood and guts, so I'm not going to complain about the immense number of them in this movie. What I didn't like was that this is just another sequel that isn't really a sequel.
The only similarities are that the ghost is the same and it takes place in the same house. Beyond that, there is no mention of anything that happened in the first film or the characters who were in it.
None of it ties to the first film at all. And there's really no good reason why this particular haunting is happening, like there was in the first film. If you're a fan of paranormal thrillers this is probably worth seeing, but overall I was disappointed, since I loved the original.
