Review of The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014) by Jack M — 03 Jan 2015
2012's The Woman in Black had a simple job, which was to scare the s**t out of 12 year old's. With it being a sleeper hit, a sequel was inevitable. Within 3 years later, The Woman in Black: Angel of Death was released and how was it? Well, do you consider films like 2014's Ouija scary? Because if you do then to you, this will be the Citizen Kane of horror films because.
.. well...its just not good? While the first film focused primarily on Jump scares, creepy moments and an interesting story, the sequel focuses on jump scares and nothing more. Did the jump scares get me? Once.
However, the film was disturbing with certain moments, which helped me become more invested in the film. The acting in the film was actually fine, the cast were function-able and they worked. Do I recommend it? No, unless you have something better to do! The first is much better.
