Review of The Woman (2011) by Michael G — 27 Aug 2011
Jack Ketchum's adaptations never disappoint, they're definitely disturbing and surreal. Prior to viewing this film I heard and read alot of controversy surrounding this film thinking just as shocking as Ketchum's The Girl Next Door.
The last 30 minutes no question will take the audience by surprise with violent climax. As for the controversy, I didn't find it very shocking compared to A Serbian Film and Salo: 120 Days of Sodom.
With the lack of shock compared to other films I just mentioned, The Woman is still a great piece of work.
