Jack Ketchum's The Woman is one of the better Jack Ketchum adaptations since Red and it is also better than the mediacore OffSpring. I have to say this Lucky McKee your a genius. This is a really good film and this sequel seriously beats the mediacore OffSpring because OffSpring is a Jack Ketchum adaptation and that film is a sequel to Off Season and The Woman is the third installment in the Dead River series.

This movie has a great plot and the film is about a lawyer name Christopher Cleek who tries his best to protect his family hen he finds a feral woman outside they're country home and they keep her locked up in the Cellar and Christopher is teaching her how to be a civilized woman but soon the family learns that she's a monster on the inside and this woman is soon planning to kill everyone in the family even Christopher Cleek.

I seriously enjoyed Jack Ketchum's The Woman like I said in my review in OffSpring I never read any of Ketchum's books although I plan to read them I might start reading Off Season until The Woman and I'm always interested with Mr.

Ketchum's work that's why I'm also eager to read his books. I definitely agree that this is one of the best Jack Ketchum adaptations since Red. What's great about The Woman is that this film has a really good pace in the story and the film is pretty quick on every scene plus it isn't a slow moving film after all and I as proud with this movie so far.

What I also like about The Woman is that the film has a lot of themes that are really dark and sometimes 90's themes which I enjoy in the film so far and it also makes the film even look better. Plus the other good things about The Woman is that the film is full of suspenceful and scary plus intense scenes and there are lots of thrills in this film like the scene when The Woman tries to attack Christopher's son is one of the scariest parts of the film while the other scenes like the scene when Christopher is observing The Woman before she bites his finger is one of the most intense scenes in the film and the most suspenceful scene as well in The Woman so far.

What I do like about The Woman is that the film is also full of intense kill scenes that are seriously brutal, graphic, vile and disgusting and the gore and violence in this film reminds me of Ruggero Deodato's style in Cannibal Holocaust.

There are loads of intense and gory plus graphic kill scenes in The Woman and the violence in The Woman is the same to OffSpring. There are loads of intense violence in this film. The scene where Christopher Cleek gets his finger bitten off and the lady chews it is one of the most disgusting parts of the film and it is seriously hard to watch as well.

The scene where Christopher's son use some pliers to pierce The imprisoned Woman is one of the most vile and disgusting parts in the film. Then the scene where Peggy's teacher gets eaten alive by the other Cannibal person who is acting like a dog is one of the most disgusting and nastiest death scenes in the film.

While Angela Bettis' death scene is also one of the most graphic and the most vile death scene in the film because the way her face is ripped off is super gross and you could possibly vomit on that death scene because the way The Woman ripps her face off with one bite is super nasty and disgusting so far.

And the last part where Christopher and his son Bryan dies on the hands of The Woman is one of the most brutal and disgusting death scenes and the way Bryan dies when his body is cut in half by The Woman is super graphic and gory as well.

While Christopher's death is seriously nauseating and heard to watch plus it is also super graphic as well because the way The Woman rips her heart and stomach out is super gross and the last two death scenes are gross out death scenes so far.

The MPAA seriously had to clash on this film and this movie really created a mild controversy due to it's use of extensive violence so far. Now the acting is great Pollyana Mcintosh did a good job once again with her role in the film as the woman who is the leader of the cannibal tribe in OffSpring and Angela Bettis was also good with her role in the film as Christopher Cleek's wife.

Director Lucky McKee did a good job with his work in this film along with writer Jack Ketchum and Lucky McKee is seriously becoming one of the most successful Horror directors and he really learned everything so far.

Overall The Woman gets a 10/10 because this film is full of gross out scenes and it is also one of the better Jack Ketchum adaptations and it is also a huge improvement over OffSpring. This film is way more disgusting than any Serbian film and it is just as disgusting as Cannibal Holocaust.
