Review of The Wolf Man (1941) by Adrian Z — 23 Jun 2013
Superb horror thriller sees the son of a wealthy landowner turned into a murderous werewolf. Central to the success of the film is Lon Chaney's effective, sympathetic performance as the tragic figure who gradually becomes aware he is afflicted with lycanthropy.
Add to this expertly crafted atmosphere and sets, and you have one of Universal studios best monster movies.
