What a treat to see this classic rescued from the small screen abyss and put back on the big screen in dazzling glory, but far bigger than Victor Fleming could have possibly imagined! I wonder if the impact on me of seeing the film in IMAX 3D might have been similar to the experience of being at an original screening so many decades ago.
Note: The Wicked Witch of the West's nose is a bit longer in 3D.
