Review of The Wizard of Gore (1970) by Christopher L — 30 Mar 2008
Cheesy as all hell, And the gore..OH THE GORE..makes saw and hostel look like nickelodeon movies. of course the gore's not as tech and "real" as today's.. well it's 1970 for christ sake.
there's Something about this movie I love..i can't figure it out completely but montag was an awesome villain...and to see grisly and gruesome murders being done as "illusions" in front of an audience is just awesome.
of course the plot was ehh, but H.G. lewis mindfucks us all with the ending. you have to experience it . also i've never seen a killer take soo much glee in his work...an H.G. Lewis masterpiece.
