Review of The Wizard (1989) by Taylor T — 10 Jan 2009

This movie has always struck a nostalgic pang in my heart. It's a solid family movie with some heart and the actors actually pull that off rather well. (The scene in the end where Jimmy finds "California" is actually touching) There was HUGE product placement by Nintendo, but that actually adds to the likability - we wouldn't have the Wii were it not for the power glove folks! Even more, you're reminded how innocent and likable video games used to be.
