Review of The Wizard (1989) by Andrew G — 04 Sep 2009
People have criticised the Wizard as being nothing more than a feature length advertisement for Nintendo. While scenes involving the Power Glove and the Nintendo Hotline are undoubtly proof of this, the Wizard is actually fairly satisfying as a film.
In no means is a great film, but in most ways it is a decent one. While the scenes of gameplay are surprisingly boring, guilty moments of humour and some mediocre acting save this film from being a horrendous one.
