Review of The Wiz (1978) by Zach S — 23 Apr 2014
In the musical, Dorothy is a scared young girl. In the movie, Dorothy is a scared full-grown woman. The set is magnificent, though. My biggest problem is that during "Ease on Down" the choreography is done through a wide lens with the characters facing away from the viewers.
The music saves this movie, as the plot is plain mediocre.
