I really wanted to enjoy this film, but went in trying to be as fair as I could be without expecting too much, which is just unfair to a film. But once it ended, abruptly and rather weakly, imo, I just felt disappointment.
It's lovely, and the acting in general is solid, especially Taylor-Joy's wondrous performance and beauty, but the story is tired and rather hackneyed by now. Wasn't scary in the very least for me, which boggles my mind when I read reviews of people claiming to have been truly horrified by it.
How?! Why?! Get a grip, people.
