The Witch is very boring and confusing. The existence of a witch is proven in the first few scenes and there's no mystery, except for the boundaries of the witch's powers. How much is the Witch capable of? What would defeat her? What caused the wrath of the Witches to begin with?
The antagonists of the movie systematically pick apart a family without any suspense because it's never made clear what enabled them to begin with. Without tension, there's no fear, and without fear, there's no horror in this horror movie.
