Review of The Wings of the Dove (1997) by Kyle L — 24 Oct 2007
This is my favourite film of all time - yes it tore the heart out of James' novel, but reading the novel is like swimming in extra thick mollasses. This film manages to distill the very essence of the novel and diffuse it in perfumed perfection - visually one of the most stunning films of all time; perfectly crafted script; every second manages to be atmospheric and haunting - exquisite is the only word.
