Some of the acting was horrendously cringe-worthy. The bludgeoning of the politics made its message unconvincing and a degree of subtlety would have proved more effective. Two stars rather than one simply because it was interesting for me to compare the portrayal of Britain and Ireland with Algeria and France in film.
Note to self. Remove academic chip from brain when watching films.
