Quite a riveting piece of work and a unique perspective of the political turmoil of 1920's Ireland. Excellent performances and superb direction give it a sometimes brutally honest feel and the exploration of the moral complexities of the entire situation leave no stone unturned.
The one problem I had with it was the sound design which left voices overlapping and often garbled in the process, thus ruining the flow of dialogue and allowing for portions of the story to be lost. However, the overall effect of the story is not lost, thus resulting in one of the most effective war story climaxes I have seen in a long time. Recommended, but only if you can take the sheer weightiness of the honest history of the Irish Republic.
