Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Sabine B — 01 Nov 2008
I probably should see this again from the beginning - I only caught about 1/2. Still, I know a great one when I smell it. Not that I go around smelling films... hehe... er. Anyways, the dialogue is great, it's interesting too how this film has no soundtrack.
Really a must see if you have any interest in the impact of the British Empire, the unification, then peoples that have fought for independence from it, and their struggle with finding an identity afterward.
Really great film, I thought.
