Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Mafoo : — 03 Jun 2009
Heartbreaking film from Irish history where two brothers who are republicans are forced to oppose each other because of an agreement with the brittish army in which damien o`donovan chooses to remain a republican.
Real instances of brutality and an emotional film especially where the young boy has to be killed,The ending shows the differences in the brothers now from before and the death of damien is heartbreaking.
However the acting is solid throughout especially a great role played by cillian murphy.
