Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Jasper Hannah C — 04 Jun 2009
Powerful with great performances, and Loach manages to keep the pace well balanced for such a political story. It should be accessible even to those with no knowledge or understanding of Irish history and politics.
Great work on all fronts, and a must for Ireland buffs and those who like to stir up their revolutionary and socio-political outrage. A good political conversation-starter as well.
