Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Ian M — 20 Mar 2011
Though the ending may not have been the happiest Loach does an amazing job at expressing the complete submission by the Irish to the Brits. The film follows Damien and his brother Teddy as the join the what seems to be newly founded I.
R.A.. Some of the scenery shots alone of the countryside add a certain spectacle to the film, all compiled along side a heartfelt story. If you have any irish blood in you I demand you see this movie, and for everyone else I strongly urge you to see it as well.
