Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Guilherme B — 09 Oct 2011
Beautiful acting by Cillian Murphy and Padraic Delaney, the rest of the cast was not that good - I constantly felt how hard they were trying to make a face they are not acting.
Very nicely shot, great scenery.
A fine movie and a gripping story, but there was something missing in it... it didn't teach me anything new and characters were a bit sterotypical - specially the english ones, which was disappointing.
The ending was probably supposed to be harsh and very deep, but once again I felt something was missing, it just didn't catch my attention the way it should have.
