Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Aaron M — 27 May 2014
This film is really great. It gives a perspective of Irish history that is rarely put on the screen. The conditions that the Irish where living under the rule of the British in the 1920's. More that the drama story, the historical background is really interesting.
The birth of the mutual hatred between Irish and British and how it branch out in different factions. A must see if you like to understand the Irish independence war.
