Review of The Wind and the Lion (1975) by Adam B — 02 Aug 2008
I thought this was going to be plodding and boring, but was pleasantly surprised. Connery actually seems to relish his role as the Morrocan chieftan and doesn't seem to be just doing it for the money (like for instance the terrible Meteor).
The film is very David Lean in style and its relentless action setpieces are excellent. Altogether its a great piece of cinema and good entertainment.
