Review of The Wind and the Lion (1975) by Eric H — 02 Feb 2015
This film, about the an American woman taken hostage by Arabs in the early 1900's, has its moments, but I did not get into it. For one, Connery playing an Arab is just stupid; he does not even attempt to cover his accent and I couldn't believe him at all.
Apart from that, this movie just didn't interest me. I suppose it's because I've become used to Arab ideals in films lately, though if I had seen this when it came out, it would have all been new and interesting information to me.
Also, Brian Keith was good as Teddy Roosevelt and all of his scenes were entertaining.
