Excellent story, lovely ending. For those of us who once experienced the "bird community" of San Francisco, it was wonderful to see images that jog memories, including Gary -- birds' best friend and former owner of the The Animal Company at 24th and Douglass.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, woven into a fabulous story that will not be forgotten.
