Review of The Wild One (1953) by Karambir R — 25 Nov 2008
Iconic in it's imagery yet somewhat lacking in it's motivations. Brando's Johnny is something of a cliche in contemporary terms, and the film's views towards its subject matter are severely outdated.
However that being said, Brando's performance along with Benedek's direction allow you to enjoy this wild romp in youth and rebellion.
