Review of The Wild One (1953) by Jeremy S — 07 Apr 2010
Brando is good as the leader of a motorcylce gang but it seems the script restricted him to being a half hearted "wild" man. Apart from that the script is strong, delivering funny and powerful dialogue and a great supporting set of characters.
The directing is pretty standard with no real viewpoint taken we see the bikers in both good and bad light which allows the audience to make their own decision on them rather than being pushed into a view by the director.
