Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Jason D — 20 Sep 2009
I've never seen this movie, but my grandfather supplied a good deal of Hollywood with its fake blood. Except in this case it was real blood. My Grandfather would run chickens through an old Westinghouse washing machine and catch the blood in mason jars.
They'd sprinkle the Mexican actors in The Wild Bunch with a turkey baster at first, but after a while, as they ran the same actors back through again and again during the final scene, they moved to a lawn sprinkler.
I really should probably see this film.
