Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Jonathan A — 23 Jul 2010
Aging Old-West outlaws make one more go-round on the Mexican border. Surprisingly violent for a 1960s western, with enough bloodshed to make Quentin Tarantino smile. Although I enjoy the energy and action of westerns, I wasn't too crazy about the story nor did I get enough sense of depth for the characters.
The consensus would probably say otherwise, but if violence was the thing this film had going for it, than I certainly was satisfied in that department.
